Doesn’t work for upgrading Natty 11.04 to Oneiric 11.10. Tried and all it wanted to upgrade from the CD was 4 packages.

hi, what’s about the new mythbuntu 10.10 and the mantis_driver ? is it integrated now ? or MUST i do this step still by hand ?

Thanks for your advice. I had been struggling for a couple of days now trying to get this to work. Then I googled “Upgrade x10 mini through virtualbox” and got your site. Should have done that in the first place – would have saved me hours of sleep and frustration. My problem was solved when I added the ‘phone in flash mode’ to the usb filters. Thanks very much.

Yeah, that’s the way to do it, memdisk is really handy.

For BIOS updates on dell desktop systems you have to have at least some megabytes free on the medium because the dell BIOS exe files will extract some hugh stuff.

The way to go here is creating a HDD image instead of a 1.44 MB floppy disk image.
